Just got my copy of Work/Life 2! Check out the painting I worked on last fall for the submission. It’s nice to have my own pages in the collection.

The Design Hope Toronto auction was a success–raising $10,000 for Toronto homeless–and it was definitely fun to be a part of the event! My painting ‘Home‘ was sold for a surprising amount, I’m truly grateful to know that it has found a new home. Thank you again, friends, neighbours and art lovers, for showing such interest in my work and for your enthusiasm to support the Parkdale community. Finally, thank you to DHT, for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful gift of sharing and giving.

The book launch and reception for Work/Life 2 will be held on April 7th at Uppercase Gallery from 5pm to 9pm.

Design Hope Toronto 2011 will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011. My painting will be shown at St. John’s Parish Hall in Parkdale for an auction. Click here for more details.

I think it’s time to get back on my storyboard and writing. I have an exciting project which involves animals and little children. It’s going to be a long journey but I’m ready. I’ll be needing more lattes though.

February already, and I’ve finished and submitted my painting for Design Hope Toronto. I wanted to illustrate the comfort that shelter provides, and the happy cocoons are what I chose for the shelter-themed project. I changed the whole direction drastically from the very beginning and during the progress. I’m glad that I settled with the cocoon idea though. It was very fun working on it, and I have more respect for cocoons now than I ever did in the past. Go Cocoons!

I am participating in Design Hope Toronto 2011 to raise money benefiting those in need of shelter. A number of works will be auctioned off for the good cause, and I am truly thrilled to be part of the event. Busy winter!
