There.

Here’s a close-up shot of the painting, as most of you won’t have a chance to see the painting in person.

Back in January, I created this piece for The New Yorker‘s Eustace Tilley Contest. Sadly, it didn’t make the final cut for the Strand book-bag design. Rejection may not be the sweetest thing, but I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to face both the fun and challenge through this project. Thanks to SH.

This is an overdue piece of doodling I’ve been meaning to include in this page.
Some of the most frequent appearances in my doodling world are cars and buildings, being destroyed by imaginary monsters. I think I have a Godzilla living inside me. Grrrawl~

This is my submission for Strand Book Store’s Totebag Design Contest. I’m very pleased to say that I was accepted as a finalist and my illustration was exhibited along with the other finalists’ and winning images back in June at SVA.
Yeah, it’s a delayed announcement (spring then, early winter now), but now that my website is more sewed up, I’ll be more prompt with (good) news from now on. Click here to see the contest details and the other great work.

This is how I eat raspberries.
I can get sweeter with a handful of these goodies (or any berries).

Interpretation of breast implants/Hollywood

Details of Bob and Charlotte from the collage
This is my personal favourite scene from the movie, along with the waiting room scene in the hospital.
My experience in Japan didn’t exactly involve whisky or professional photo shoots. But I met some really wonderful people, had a funny and lengthy conversation with a group of strangers using mostly drawings, and (wait for it…) ate a lot of green tea ice cream. I also got lost (in directions) several times, but that just happens everywhere, I guess.

This was created to encourage my father prior to his brain surgery.
